The National Coal Council, a federal advisory committee to the Secretary of Energy, announced this week that the council’s fall meeting will be held Oct. 16 from 9 a.m.–12:30 p.m. at the Gaylord National Resort, located at the National Harbor in Oxen Hill, Md. Speakers at the meeting will include Kimberly Greene, Chief Operating Officer at Southern Company, Julien Dumoulin-Smith, Executive Director of Equity Research Electric Utilities at UBS Securities and Ken Medlock, Energy Resource & Economics Fellow at the Baker Institute for Public Policy at Rice University. The council will host a reception Oct. 15, also at the Gaylord National Resort from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Registration is required for both events.
