Perma-Fix Environmental Services CEO Lou Centofanti has been appointed to serve on the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Civil Nuclear Trade Advisory Committee, Perma-Fix announced this week. The CINTAC is composed of industry representatives from the civil nuclear industry, and it meets periodically throughout the year to discuss the most pressing trade issues facing the U.S. civil nuclear sector, the company said. Centofanti will serve as a representative of U.S. entities involved in the export of civil nuclear products and services, the company said.
Cabrera Services announced this week that it has won an achievement award from the Environmental Business Journal. The EBJ awarded Cabrera a Business Achievement Award in the Project Merit: Remediation category for outstanding business achievement in the industry, the company said. The award honors the companies selected for revenue growth, acquisitions, innovative project designs, technology applications, new practice areas, social contributions and industry leadership in 2014, Cabrera said. “We are pleased to have been selected to receive this award,” COO Rob Flowers said in a statement. “As we are a company specializing in radiological and environmental remediation, it is an honor to be recognized in this category.”
