BWX Technologies (BWXT) announced this week that Rex Geveden will become the company’s chief operating officer later this month. Starting Oct. 26, Geveden will execute BWXT’s government and commercial nuclear operations in the U.S. and Canada, the contractor said. Geveden most recently served as executive vice president at Teledyne Technologies, an industrial conglomerate serving aerospace, defense and other industries, and previously worked at NASA for 17 years in positions including chief operating officer. BWXT President and CEO Sandy Baker said in a statement that Geveden’s “background in domestic and international work for both commercial and government clients is an ideal fit for the execution of the BWXT strategic priorities.”
