Wrap Up

By Brian Bradley

IN THE INDUSTRY

Roger Petrie, a mainstay in the state of Tennessee’s oversight of Department of Energy cleanup programs for many years, has taken a job with UCOR — DOE’s cleanup manager in Oak Ridge. Petrie served as the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation’s project manager for the Federal Facility Agreement in Oak Ridge. That included extensive negotiations with DOE and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to map out future priorities for environmental cleanup activities in Oak Ridge. Petrie joined the staff at URS-CH2M Oak Ridge last month, and he is in charge of environmental stakeholder relations.

Johnathan Sitzlar, former contracting officer and property manager for the U.S. General Services Administration, has been named a division director at the Department of Energy’s Oak Ridge Office. He will be director of facilities, information, and reservation management, according to a DOE announcement. Sitzlar will reportedly direct a staff of 24 and be responsible for “all support services and  reservation management issues.” Before joining GSA, he worked for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Eastern District, Tennessee.
