IN THE INDUSTRY

The United Kingdom’s Carbon Capture and Storage Research Center (UKCCSRC) announced this week that its Pilot-scale Advanced Capture Technology (PACT) Facilities have become part of the International Test Center Network. The network was initiated by Norway’s Technology Center Mongstad in 2012 to facilitate the sharing of knowledge amongst the world’s test centers. The network currently includes test centers in Norway, Canada, Germany and the United States. Four facilities comprise UKCCSRC’s PACT Facilities, which are operated by the University of Sheffield, University of Cranfield, University of Nottingham and the University of Edinburgh. The University of Leeds and the Imperial College London also provide expertise to the PACT program, but do not operate facilities.
