ON THE INTERNATIONAL FRONT

The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) has expressed an intention to conduct research into clean coal for Egypt. UNIDO spokesman Ahmed Nabil Fahmy said early this week that UNIDO would sign an agreement regarding the research with the Egyptian Ministry of Industry, Foreign Trade and Investment by the end of the year. The research will be done to guarantee that Egypt’s coal use complies with environmental standards.
