By ExchangeMonitor

The area around the Department of Energy’s Portsmouth Site in Ohio is under a winter weather advisory, while the Oak Ridge Site in Tennessee is under a flood watch, according to the National Weather Service forecasts.

Upwards of two inches of snow could fall around Piketon, Ohio on Tuesday and Tuesday night, according to the local forecast. Meanwhile, the Paducah Site in Kentucky was expecting rain mixed with snow from Monday night into Tuesday.

Nearly two inches of rain could fall in the area surrounding the DOE Oak Ridge nuclear site between Monday night and Wednesday, according to the forecast. The rain was expected to end by Thursday.

Some scattered snow showers are in the forecast for much of this week at the Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico, but accumulation was expected to be only an inch or so, according to the Weather Service.
