Waste Control Specialists CEO William Lindquist is stepping down, and current President Rod Baltzer will take over as the company’s president and CEO, WCS confirmed this week. Lindquist resigned “for health reasons and a resulting desire to transition to his eventual retirement,” according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing from WCS parent company Valhi Inc. Lindquist has been with WCS since 2007, and helped oversee the opening of the company’s disposal facility in Andrews, Texas, which began accepting waste in 2011. Baltzer has been with the company since 1999 and has also played a pivotal role in helping the site begin operations. WCS declined to comment any further.
