International environmental solutions provider Veolia last week announced the selection of a new president and CEO of its North America branch.
William DiCroce has been with Veolia since June 2008, most recently serving as president and chief operating officer of Veolia North America’s municipal and commercial operation. The 20-year veteran of the nuclear industry replaces Terry Mah, who has taken over as senior vice president for Veolia Global Enterprises.
Veolia’s broad range of services include identification, classification, processing, and disposal of low-level radioactive waste. It also offers nuclear decontamination and asset recovery services.
“More than ever, our services can make a very real difference for cities, campuses, companies and other organizations looking for environmental services and resource solutions – whether it’s managing, conserving and recovering energy or water resources for cities or helping a refinery with their operations or with a critical turnaround,” DiCroce said in a press release. “I’m very excited to be leading so many talented environmental professionals throughout the United States, Canada and the Caribbean, and I look forward to building a dynamic future for our team and for the customers we serve.”
Veolia North America has about 7,800 employees and has provided services to over 530 cities and 30,000 businesses.
The parent company earlier this month announced the acquisition of nuclear waste cleanup technology provider Kurion.
