USACE St. Louis Issues FUSRAP Remediation Sources Sought Notice

The Army Corp of Engineer’s St. Louis District issued a sources sought notice this week seeking contractors for remediation efforts at its Formerly Utilized Sites Remedial Action Program sites, according to a posting on FedBizOpps. The notice is meant to identify small businesses capable of handling the radioactive waste associated with the cleanup of the sites. “The environmental remediation construction efforts will include but not limited to remedial design, remedial action, excavating contaminated material with depths exceeding 25 feet, low-level radioactive contaminated material removal and disposal, building decontamination, HTRW manifesting, utility relocation, water management, radiological support, engineering support, construction support and MARSSIM,” the posting said. “The qualified firms should also indicate any management of Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) contracts.”

The work is anticipated to take place at the St. Louis Downtown Site (SLDS), St. Louis Airport Site (SLAPS) Vicinity Properties (VPSs) and the Hiss/Latty Avenue Properties, while estimated volumes of excavated soil for site groupings range from 25,000 to 75,000 cubic yards, the posting said. Responses are due by Nov. 3.
