Tri-Party agencies to brief Hanford board Wednesday

The Department of Energy’s Hanford Advisory Board meets this Wednesday in Pasco, Wash., to discuss progress on the Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant and other cleanup issues at the former plutonium production complex.

In addition to a presentation from DOE’s Hanford Site Manager Brian Vance, the advisory board will also hear from managers with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the Washington state Department of Ecology.

The meeting starts at 9:00 a.m. Pacific time at the Holiday Inn Pasco on Convention Place and should conclude by 3:00 p.m., according to the agenda. The session is a hybrid meeting and details on how to access the meeting via Teams are available on the agenda.
