Here are some events related to defense and civilian nuclear matters that Exchange Monitor staff are tracking this week.

08: Earnings call: BWX Technologies will discuss its first quarter 2023 financial results in a conference call with Wall Street analysts at 5 p.m. Eastern Time. 

09: Quarterly earnings call. Centrus Corp. The company, working on a new uranium enrichment cascade at DOE’s Portsmouth Site near Piketon, Ohio, will discuss its financial results for the first quarter of 2024, which ended March 31. The public may listen online.

11: Hearing: The House Energy & Commerce Committee’s subcommittee on Energy, Climate, & Grid Security will hear testimony from Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm on the agency’s fiscal 2024 budget proposal at 2 p.m. Eastern Time at 2123 Rayburn House Office Building in Washington, D.C. The session will also be streamed online at https://energycommerce.house.gov/

11: Markup, House Armed Services strategic forces subcommittee. National Defense Authorization Act of 2024. 10:00am Eastern time, Rayburn House Office Building, room 2212. Editor’s note: Subcommittee markups are typically brief. Lawmakers in recent years have held most debates about nuclear-weapons policies during the full committee markup, which this year was scheduled for May 23.
