Here are some events related to defense and civilian nuclear matters that Exchange Monitor staff are tracking this week.

08: Meeting: The Department of Energy’s Environmental Management Site-Specific Advisory Board for Oak Ridge holds a hybrid meeting starting at 6 p.m. Eastern Time. To attend virtually, please email to: [email protected] no later than 5 p.m. ET on Wednesday, Feb. 1.

08: Closed hearing. The Nuclear Regulatory Commission was scheduled to hold a hearing on the sale of Palisades Nuclear Generating Station to Holtec International from Entergy. 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Eastern time. Rockville, Md. NRC headquarters, 11545 Rockville Pike, Rockville, MD 20852.

09: Meeting: The DOE Office of Environmental Management at the Los Alamos National Laboratory and  contractor Newport New Nuclear Los Alamos (N3B) plan a hybrid meeting on site cleanup from Cottonwood on the Greens, Los Alamos, starting at 5:30 p.m. Mountain Time.

NEW: Via public records request, I’ve been able to confirm reporting today that a warrant has been issued for DOE deputy asst. secretary of spent fuel and waste disposition Sam Brinton for another luggage theft, this time at Las Vegas’s Harry Reid airport. (cc: @EMPublications)
