Here are some events related to defense and civilian nuclear matters that Exchange Monitor staff are tracking this week.

13: Press conferences and panel discussion on “Major Scientific Breakthrough by NNSA National Laboratory.” Washington, D.C. Media only, invite only. Event begins at 10:00 a.m. Widely rumored to be the reported net energy gain said to be achieved by the National Ignition Facility at the National Nuclear Security Administration’s Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in California.

14: Meeting: The  West Valley Citizen Task Force will hold a hybrid meeting originating from Ashford Office Complex in West Valley, N.Y., starting at 6:30 p.m. Eastern Time.

NEW: Via public records request, I’ve been able to confirm reporting today that a warrant has been issued for DOE deputy asst. secretary of spent fuel and waste disposition Sam Brinton for another luggage theft, this time at Las Vegas’s Harry Reid airport. (cc: @EMPublications)
