Here are some events related to defense and civilian nuclear matters that Exchange Monitor staff are tracking this week.

19-20: Meeting: Hanford Advisory Board meets in a hybrid session starting at 1 p.m. Pacific Time on Oct. 19 and then at 9 a.m. on Oct. 20. The session originates from the Three Rivers Convention Center, Room D 7016, West Grandridge Boulevard, Kennewick, Washington.

20: The Carlsbad Mayor’s Energy Summit: Carlsbad Community Foundation, Walter Gerrells Performing Arts Center Annex, 4012 National Parks Highway Carlsbad, N.M. The meeting is primarily about oil and gas development, but Nicole Nelson-Jean, associate principal deputy assistant secretary for field operations for the Department of Energy’s Office of Environmental Management (EM), was scheduled to speak.

NEW: Via public records request, I’ve been able to confirm reporting today that a warrant has been issued for DOE deputy asst. secretary of spent fuel and waste disposition Sam Brinton for another luggage theft, this time at Las Vegas’s Harry Reid airport. (cc: @EMPublications)
