20: Hearing, Senate Armed Services Committee. Hearing, “To receive testimony on United States Nuclear Strategy and Policy.” Witnesses are former government officials. Hart Senate Office Building, room SH-216. 9:30 a.m. Eastern time. Streaming online. 

22: Decommissioning plan public meeting for Palisades Nuclear Power Plant in Michigan. Nuclear Regulatory Commission. Lake Michigan College, South Haven campus, 125 Veterans Blvd., in South Haven, Mich. Online access to be provided by the NRC.

22: Predecisional enforcement conference, Nuclear Regulatory Commission, agency headquarters, NRC One White Flint North, 11555 Rockville Pike, Commission Hearing Room (1st Floor) Rockville, Md. Streaming online.  The proceedings are part of a continuing investigation of a fatal fire BWX Technologies’ Lynchburg, Va., facility in 2020.

22-23: Conference, National Cleanup Workshop, sponsored by Energy Communities Alliance and DOE, opens at the Crystal Gateway Marriott, 1700 Richmond Highway Arlington, VA 22202.

23: Meeting, The New Mexico Environment Department’s Department of Energy Oversight Bureau holds a public open house and community engagement meeting from 3 to 7 p.m. Mountain Time. The event will be at the Los Alamos Oversight Section Office at 1183 Diamond Drive, Suite B in Los Alamos, N.M.

NEW: Via public records request, I’ve been able to confirm reporting today that a warrant has been issued for DOE deputy asst. secretary of spent fuel and waste disposition Sam Brinton for another luggage theft, this time at Las Vegas’s Harry Reid airport. (cc: @EMPublications)
