18, week of – House Rules Committee amendment process: 2023 appropriations bills including the energy and water appropriations act that will fund the Department of Energy’s National Nuclear Security Administration, Office of Environmental Management and other agencies. Time to be announced. The Rules Committee is the final stop before debate on the House floor.

18: Virtual meeting of the Department of Energy’s Environmental Management (EM) Advisory Board. EM leadership remarks scheduled. 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Eastern time. Zoom. To attend, contact Alyssa Petit by email, [email protected], no later than 5:00 p.m. Eastern on Wednesday, July 13, 2022.

21: The Nuclear Regulatory Commission is scheduled to host a meeting in San Luis Obispo, Calif., to receive public comments on Diablo Canyon Power Plant’s Post Shutdown Decommissioning Activities Report. NEW: Via public records request, I’ve been able to confirm reporting today that a warrant has been issued for DOE deputy asst. secretary of spent fuel and waste disposition Sam Brinton for another luggage theft, this time at Las Vegas’s Harry Reid airport. (cc: @EMPublications)
