Here are some events related to defense and civilian nuclear matters that Exchange Monitor staff are tracking this week:

05: Congress remains in recess this week following the Independence Day holiday. Regular sessions are scheduled to resume next week. 

07: The Department of Energy’s Carlsbad Field Office and Waste Isolation Pilot Plant plan a community and hybrid meeting starting at 5:30 p.m. Mountain Time at the Santa Fe Convention Center in Santa Fe, N.M. Pre-registration is encouraged.

NEW: Via public records request, I’ve been able to confirm reporting today that a warrant has been issued for DOE deputy asst. secretary of spent fuel and waste disposition Sam Brinton for another luggage theft, this time at Las Vegas’s Harry Reid airport. (cc: @EMPublications)
