21: Markup, House Appropriations energy and water development subcommittee. Fiscal year 2023 subcommittee appropriations bill. This is the first draft of the bill that includes the Department of Energy’s budget for the fiscal year that begins Oct. 1. 5:30 p.m. Eastern time. Washington, Rayburn House Office Building Room 2359.

22: The West Valley Citizen Task Force meets starting at 6:30 p.m. via Zoom to discuss the Department of Energy cleanup at the West Valley Demonstration Project in New York. 

22-23: National Nuclear Security Administration: Molybdenum-99 Stakeholders Meeting. 8:30 a.m-5:30 p.m. Hybrid meeting. Agenda here.

NEW: Via public records request, I’ve been able to confirm reporting today that a warrant has been issued for DOE deputy asst. secretary of spent fuel and waste disposition Sam Brinton for another luggage theft, this time at Las Vegas’s Harry Reid airport. (cc: @EMPublications)
