Here are some events related to defense and civilian matters that the Exchange Monitor staff is tracking this week:

26: The National Academies’ Nuclear and Radiation Studies Board kicks off a three-day meeting starting at 7:30 a.m. Pacific Time at the Holiday Inn Richland, Wash., regarding continued analysis of supplemental treatment of low-activity waste at the Hanford Site. 

26: The Idaho Cleanup Project Environmental Management Site-Specific Advisory Board will hold a hybrid meeting starting at 8 a.m. Mountain Time from the Shoshone-Bannock Hotel and Event Center, 777 Bannock Trail, Pocatello, Idaho 83202. 27: The West Valley Citizen Task in New York state will hold an online meeting starting at 6:30 p.m. Eastern Time. For details on registration, contact Bill Logue at [email protected].

28: The Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm will testify before the House Appropriations Committee on the fiscal 2023 budget request for the Department of Energy starting at 2:30 p.m. E.T.

NEW: Via public records request, I’ve been able to confirm reporting today that a warrant has been issued for DOE deputy asst. secretary of spent fuel and waste disposition Sam Brinton for another luggage theft, this time at Las Vegas’s Harry Reid airport. (cc: @EMPublications)
