Here are some events related to defense- and civilian-nuclear matters that the Exchange Monitor staff is tracking this week.

September:

20: Meeting, House Rules Committee – National Defense Authorization Act for fiscal year 2022; continuing resolution to extend fiscal year 2021 budget into the 2022 fiscal year that begins Oct. 1. The meeting will stream online beginning at 12 p.m. Eastern time and includes business other than the continuing resolution and the defense authorization act.

20: General Conference: International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). Streaming online. The 65th General Conference started in the early morning hours Eastern time. The agenda was scheduled to continue into the afternoon hours.

21: IAEA, Digitalization in Support of Planning and Implementation of Nuclear Decommissioning. Streaming online beginning at 4:30 a.m. Eastern time. Registration required

22: IAEA Nuclear Operators’ Forum: Organizational Excellence and Leadership for the Sustainability of Operating Nuclear Power Plants (NPPs). Streaming online beginning at 12 p.m. Eastern time. Registration required

NEW: Via public records request, I’ve been able to confirm reporting today that a warrant has been issued for DOE deputy asst. secretary of spent fuel and waste disposition Sam Brinton for another luggage theft, this time at Las Vegas’s Harry Reid airport. (cc: @EMPublications)
