Here are some events related to defense nuclear matters that Exchange Monitor staff are tracking this week.

13: Conference: The U.S. Strategic Command Deterrence Symposium kicks off its two-day event at 8 a.m. Central Time at the CHI Health Center in Omaha, NE.

14: Hybrid meeting: The Oak Ridge Environmental Management Site-Specific Advisory Board holds a hybrid meeting starting at 6 p.m. Eastern Time. The session will originate from DOE’s Information Center, Office of Science and Technical Information, 1 Science.gov Way, Oak Ridge, Tennessee 37831. 

14: Public hearing: The Defense Nuclear Facilities Safety Board takes comments starting at 9 a.m. Eastern Time, from various agencies on best practices for management of aging infrastructure. The meeting will be livestreamed.

NEW: Via public records request, I’ve been able to confirm reporting today that a warrant has been issued for DOE deputy asst. secretary of spent fuel and waste disposition Sam Brinton for another luggage theft, this time at Las Vegas’s Harry Reid airport. (cc: @EMPublications)
