Here are some events related to civilian nuclear matters that Exchange Monitor staff are tracking this week.

17-18: Meeting: The Energy Facilities Contractors Group two-day annual meeting is set for the Crystal Gateway Marriott in Arlington, Va. The general session starts at 8 a.m. on the second day.

18: Senate vote: S.870 – Fire Grants and Safety Act of 2023. Includes the text of the Advanced Nuclear for Clean Energy (ADVANCE) Act. After 2:15 p.m. Eastern time. Washington. If passed, the bill will go to the White House.

NEW: Via public records request, I’ve been able to confirm reporting today that a warrant has been issued for DOE deputy asst. secretary of spent fuel and waste disposition Sam Brinton for another luggage theft, this time at Las Vegas’s Harry Reid airport. (cc: @EMPublications)
