September

25-29: International Atomic Energy Agency General Conference. Vienna International Centre, Vienna, Austria. Conference agenda and streaming information online.

26: Meeting: The Savannah River Site Citizens Advisory Board meets at 9 a.m. Eastern Time at the Aiken Senior Life Center, 1310 East Pine Log Road, Aiken, SC 29803. The advisory board meeting will be webcast. 

30: The last day of the federal government’s 2023 fiscal year. If Congress and the White House do not enact bills that fund the U.S. government for the 2024 fiscal year, federal agencies will begin to shut down on Oct. 1.

NEW: Via public records request, I’ve been able to confirm reporting today that a warrant has been issued for DOE deputy asst. secretary of spent fuel and waste disposition Sam Brinton for another luggage theft, this time at Las Vegas’s Harry Reid airport. (cc: @EMPublications)
