Here are some events related to defense and civilian nuclear matters that Exchange Monitor staff are tracking this week.

28: Meeting: The Department of Energy Environmental Management Citizens Advisory Board for Northern New Mexico and its Citizens Advisory Board’s Consent Order subcommittee will hold a virtual meeting starting at 12 p.m. Mountain Time. To obtain the Webex link contact Menice Santistevan by email, [email protected], no later than 5:00 p.m.  on Friday, June 23, 2023.

28: Meeting: The Citizens Task Force for the West Valley Demonstration Project meets starting at 6:30 p.m. Eastern Time at the Ashford Office Complex, 9030 Route 219, West Valley, N.Y. 

29: Webinar: Peach Bottom Decommissioning Presubmittal Public Meeting. Nuclear Regulatory  Commission and Constellation Energy “to discuss the status of decommissioning and the license  termination plans for the Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station, Unit 1.” Members of the public may join the meeting online and will be allowed to ask question of NRC staff. NEW: Via public records request, I’ve been able to confirm reporting today that a warrant has been issued for DOE deputy asst. secretary of spent fuel and waste disposition Sam Brinton for another luggage theft, this time at Las Vegas’s Harry Reid airport. (cc: @EMPublications)
