Teams at Five NNSA Sites Win Agency Awards

By ExchangeMonitor

The National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) said Friday it has presented Defense Programs Awards of Excellence to several hundred employees across five active sites in the nuclear security enterprise.

The semiautonomous Department of Energy agency every year recognizes personnel in its Stockpile Stewardship program who achieve “significant achievement by providing increased quality, productivity, cost savings, or enhanced weapon safety, security, or use control,” according to an NNSA press release.

The awards went to teams at the Y-12 National Security Complex in Tennessee, Pantex Plant in Texas, Kansas City National Security Campus in Missouri, Nevada National Security Site, and Savannah River Site in South Carolina.
