SEN. GRAHAM BLOCKING NOMINEES OVER BENGHAZI

By ExchangeMonitor

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) announced yesterday that he plans to block all of President Obama’s cabinet appointments until the Administration releases additional information on the survivors of the 2012 Benghazi attack, a move that could impact the pending nominees Frank Klotz, for National Nuclear Security Administration Administrator, and Elizabeth Robinson, for Under Secretary of Energy for Management and Performance. Graham announced his intentions on Twitter. “Where are the #Benghazi survivors? I’m going to block every appointment in the U.S. Senate until they are made available to Congress,” he said.

Both Klotz and Robinson had confirmation hearings in the Senate last month. But Robinson already faced a battle for confirmation before the Graham’s announcement, as last week Sen. David Vitter (R-La.) placed a hold on her nomination due to concerns regarding contracts at NASA. Graham’s office confirmed yesterday that he intends to block the DOE nominee.
