SELLAFIELD’S NMP BRINGS IN JACK DEVINE

By ExchangeMonitor

Nuclear Management Partners, the URS-led contractor that manages the Sellafield site in the United Kingdom, announced this week that it is bringing in Jack Devine as chief decommissioning officer. Devine, who served as chief closure officer for URS at the Savannah River Site, starts next month and is taking over for Jim French after his retirement earlier this year. Devine also served in the U.S. Navy as a nuclear submarine officer, has worked for a utility, and founded a nuclear engineering consulting firm. “Jack’s focus will be leading the next phase of the decommissioning programme as we move into retrievals and acceleration of high hazard removal,” NMP Managing Director Todd Wright said in a statement. “I look forward to the wealth of experience Jack brings and the ability to help us further our Journey to Excellence.”
