Registration is open for the annual Bridging Partnerships Small Business Symposium, scheduled for May 15-16 near the Department of Energy’s Hanford Site in Eastern Washington state. The event starts with an optional bus tour of Hanford the morning of May 15.
On May 16, talks at the Three Rivers Convention Center in Kennewick will address the purchasing needs of Hanford and nearby Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in the city of Richland.
The event is organized by the Hanford Small Business Council with the Tri-City Regional Chamber of Commerce. “The primary goal of this symposium is to bring professionals from both small and large businesses together under one roof to network, learn, and build relationships that lead to increased procurement and other business opportunities for small businesses.”
Registration costs $125. More information is posted at bridgingpartnerships.com.
The Energy Department’s Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization and Hanford Small Business Council are coordinating a Hanford HUBZone Small Business Event in conjunction with the symposium. It will be held 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mary 14 at the Federal Building in Richland. Participants will learn about the benefits of becoming certified as a small business in a Historically Underutilized Business Zone and receive information on regulations and procurement opportunities. Register here. There is no charge for attending just the HUBZone event.
