PERSONNEL CHANGES AT HANFORD CLEANUP CONTRACTORS

Ty Blackford, the vice president of waste and fuels management for CH2M Hill Plateau Remediation Co., also has taken over the duties of Kurt Kehler, former vice president of decommissioning and demolition. Kehler has left Hanford to pursue strategic international opportunities at CH2M Hill. Blackford has 26 years of nuclear project management experience, including 19 years at Hanford. In addition, John McDonald has been named manager of environment, safety, health and quality for Washington River Protection Solutions. He is responsible for environmental protection, safety and health, security and emergency services, radiological controls, quality assurance and contractor assurance. He has worked at the Hanford tank farms since 2001, most recently as the WRPS contractor assurance manager. In other changes in the ESHQ team, Rodney Holland has been named the security and emergency services manager and Steve Killoy has been named the environmental protection manager.
