Parsons gets $21-million deal for Los Alamos construction management

By ExchangeMonitor

Parsons Corp. announced the award of a $21 million task order by the National Nuclear Security Administration Office of Infrastructure to continue managing construction projects at Los Alamos National Laboratory.

The task order, from Parsons’ $160 million ceiling-value Enterprise Construction Management Services (ECMS) contract awarded in 2022, is for design and construction management support at Los Alamos and has a three-year period of performance, Parsons said in a Jan. 9 statement.

Under the deal, Parsons will provide project management, project control, and construction officials to the federal government for more than $4 billion of capital line-item projects at LANL. The company is responsible for monitoring the design, construction, environmental, safety, health, and quality efforts on those projects and advising the federal government.

Parsons has supported the Los Alamos Project Management Office since 2014. In June 2022, the company was awarded its third consecutive ECMS contract to continue that work.

The $160 million blanket purchase agreement awarded in 2022 includes a one-year base period with four option period years, the company said.

Services available through task orders under this contract include professional and technical offerings that support the operational needs at DOE and NNSA projects worldwide, including strategic planning for technology programs and activities; concept development and requirements analysis; system, design, engineering, and integration; testing and evaluation; integrated logistics support; acquisition and life-cycle management; and construction management and engineering consulting services.
