PADUCAH INFRASTRUCTURE CONTRACTOR RAMPING DOWN

By ExchangeMonitor

Swift & Staley Mechanical Contractors, the infrastructure contractor for the Paducah site, began moving yesterday to ramp down operations due to the current government shutdown. Swift & Staley is adjusting work schedules for its approximately 80 employees at Paducah to achieve a state of minimum essential operations. According to a notice sent to employees, obtained by WC Monitor, Swift and Staley workers will be required to take off approximately 80 hours. The contractor’s project manager at Paducah largely declined to comment yesterday. The Department of Energy’s Portsmouth/Paducah Project Office did not respond to requests for comment.
