The Jacobs-led company in charge of cleanup of the former gaseous diffusion plant at the U.S. Energy Department’s Paducah Site in Kentucky has reportedly selected a new top executive.
The appointment of Myrna Redfield at Four Rivers Nuclear Partnership was reported Tuesday by WKMS-FM, a public radio station for Murray State University in Murray, Ky., about 50 miles from Paducah. The news report cited a Four Rivers press release. Representatives of Jacobs and Four Rivers could not immediately be reached for comment.
The Four Rivers website lists Redfield as its project manager. Redfield was previously deputy project manager and chief operating officer at the joint venture, according to a brief profile on LinkedIn. The deputy manager/COO post is now held by Dan Coyne, according to the Four Rivers website.
Bill Kirby was project manager at Four Rivers when it began work at Paducah in 2017, according to an Energy Department press release. He left the post in July 2018 and now works as a program manager for Jacobs in the Denver area, according to his LinkedIn account.
Four Rivers Nuclear Partnership has a potential 10-year, $1.5 billion contract for deactivation and remediation at Paducah that could extend into late June 2027 if all options are exercised. The vendor is still in its initial five-year base period. The partnership is comprised of Jacobs, Fluor, and BWX Technologies.
