Howard Osborne will leave IBM to become chief financial officer of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission on April 23, the agency said Monday in a press release.
As chief financial officer, Osborne is responsible for the management and auditing of the agency’s finances and is the five-member commission’s top financial policy adviser.
Osborne was most recently associate partner with IBM’s Business Transformation Services, Federal Enterprise Strategy Practice, according to NRC’s release. He previously worked at the Treasury Department.
Osborne will replace Cherish Johnson as the NRC’s chief financial officer. Johnson left the agency to become the chief financial officer and chief administration officer of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration in October 2022, according to her LinkedIn bio.
James Corbett is NRC’s acting chief financial officer.
