NRC Seeking Public Comment on Dominion License Renewal

By ExchangeMonitor

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission is seeking public opinion on its review of Virginia Electric and Power Co.’s license renewal at the Virginia-based North Anna Power Station.

Staff are seeking views on environmental issues surrounding the 20-year license renewal by the company, also known as Dominion, until Nov. 23 following the publication of a notice in the Federal Register, according to an NRC press statement.

A webinar will be held Nov. 4, from 1-3 p.m., during which staff will discuss the environmental review process and take comments. Registration requests or requests to present oral comments should be submitted to NRC Project Manager Tam Tran by e-mail at [email protected] by Nov. 2, the statement said.
