The acting deputy manager of the National Nuclear Security Administration’s Nevada field office will take over her role in an official capacity, the agency announced this week.
Laura M. Tomlinson will take over as deputy manager of the Nevada Field Office (NFO) after serving as acting deputy since last February, according to a press release Thursday. The NFO conducts federal oversight of the Nevada National Security Site just outside Las Vegas.
Prior to taking on her role as acting deputy, Tomlinson served for 13 years as both an assistant manager and deputy assistant manager in NFO’s Mission and Infrastructure office. Before that, she worked at the Department of Energy in support of the stockpile stewardship program at the Nevada National Security Site.
