NNSA SECURE TRANSPORT CHIEF IN CRITICAL CONDITION AFTER CAR ACCIDENT

Brad Peterson, the principal deputy assistant deputy administrator of the NNSA’s Office of Secure Transportation, is in critical condition at an Albuquerque, N.M., hospital after he was involved in a serious car accident Saturday. Peterson was a passenger in a car that was struck by a speeding vehicle while turning onto Eubank Boulevard from a parking lot, and he was transported to University of New Mexico Hospital with life-threatening injuries. According to a police report, speed was believed to be a factor in the accident. Peterson served for three years as the NNSA’s chief of Defense Nuclear Security and Associate Administrator for Defense Nuclear Security until moving to OST last summer.
