NNSA Planning Second Online Job Fair

By ExchangeMonitor

The National Nuclear Security Administration plans to host another virtual job fair, this time on July 22.

The semiautonomous Department of Energy nuclear weapons agency set a goal of hiring 130 people this summer, specifically in Albuquerque, N.M.; Amarillo, Texas; Kansas City, Mo.; Las Vegas, Nev.; Livermore, Calif.; Oak Ridge, Tenn.; Aiken, S.C., and Washington, D.C,  according to a press release.

This will be the agency’s second virtual job fair of the season. The first was in June.

These big-tent job fairs have become a semiregular feature at the NNSA since Lisa Gordon-Hagerty took over as administrator in 2018. They have continued even in the face of COVID-19, which pre-empted the sort of large gatherings these fairs were meant to be.

Those interested in joining the nuclear-weapon agency can apply online to attend the virtual job fair. The NNSA encouraged anyone who wants to attend to register “as soon as possible.”
