NNSA ISSUES DRAFT RFP FOR NEW NEVADA ENVIRO. SERVICES CONTRACT

By ExchangeMonitor

The National Nuclear Security Administration has begun seeking comment on a draft Request for Proposals for the new Nevada National Security Site environmental program services contract. The new contract is being set-aside for small businesses, and will have 31 contract line item numbers (CLINs) addressing six different areas—labor, award fee, travel, equipment, material/supplies and transition. The comment period is set to run through Dec. 23, and NNSA plans to hold an industry day in Las Vegas Dec. 10-12. The draft RFP can be found here.

The current environmental services contract at NNSS is held by Navarro Nevada Environmental Services, LLC, made up of Navarro Research and Engineering and INTERA, and is set to expire Sept. 30, 2014. The planned follow-on contract is currently expected to have a ceiling value of $90-130 million over five years, according to the NNSA.
