NNSA CREATES WEBSITE FOR NEW NNSS ENVIRO. SERVICES PROCUREMENT

The National Nuclear Security Administration has established a new website for the procurement for the follow-on contract to provide environmental characterization and remediation services at the Nevada National Security Site. The procurement is still in the early stages, with NNSA having issued a sources sought notice in September to determine if the contract can continue to be set-aside for small businesses. Responses to the sources sought notice were due on Oct. 1. The planned follow-on contract is currently expected to have a ceiling value of $90-130 million over five years, according to the NNSA. The current environmental services contract at NNSS is held by Navarro Nevada Environmental Services, LLC, made up of Navarro Research and Engineering and INTERA, and is set to expire Sept. 30, 2014.
