The National Nuclear Security Administration awarded a trio of Office of Secure Transportation support services contracts to small business-led teams last month. The NNSA last year decided to break the OST support services contracts into three different vehicles for Training Support Services, Administration Support Services, and Logistics and Fleet Management Support Services. The previous OST support services contract was held by New Mexico-based Innovative Technology Partnerships (ITP).
A team led by Project Enhancement Corporation and including incumbent ITP was awarded a $47.6 million Training Support Services Contract. Innovative Reasoning, LLC, an Orlando, Fla.-based firm, was awarded a $33.3 million contract for Logistics and Fleet Management Support Services, and a team led by Longenecker & Associates that also included ITP was selected for a $9.9 million Administrative Support Services contract. Each of the deals includes a one-year base contract and four one-year options, NNSA spokeswoman Shelley Laver said. Each of the contracts took effect this month.
The training contract was procured through the NNSA’s technical services blanket purchasing agreement, while the administration services work went through the agency’s administration BPA. The logistics work was procured through the General Services Administration’s Logistics Worldwide (LOGWORLD) schedule. Protective force contractor Centerra is also expected to be added to the PEC and Longenecker teams once the company is approved to be part of the companies’ BPA team. In the fall, the NNSA said it hoped to increase small business participation by splitting the contract up three ways. A Request for Proposals for a separate $50 million information technology services contract was released earlier this year.
