NEW DEPUTY MANAGER STARTS AT DOE’S CARLSBAD OFFICE

By ExchangeMonitor

The new deputy manager at the Department of Energy’s Carlsbad Field Office, Dana Bryson, started this week. The position oversees the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant and the National Transuranic Program. Bryson comes from DOE’s Richland Operations Office, where he served as River Corridor Division Director. “Dana Bryson is currently in travel status and assumed the CBFO Deputy Manager position, effective Dec. 1. The position was previously held by former CBFO Deputy Manager Ed Ziemianski who retired from Federal Service in latter 2012,” CBFO spokeswoman Deb Gill said in a written response. CBFO Manager Joe Franco praised Bryson. “Dana brings more than 30 years of nuclear engineering experience and expertise to the position that should benefit CBFO and WIPP stakeholders,” Franco said in a statement. “I’m pleased to announce his selection and look forward to working with Dana in his new position following his arrival this month.”
