New Deputy Chief of Corporate Services Listed Among EM Bosses

By Staff Reports

Randall Hendrickson is now the deputy chief of corporate services at the Department of Energy’s Office of Environmental Management, according to the latest organizational chart dated Feb. 11.

The job, which reports to the Environmental Management (EM) office’s associate principal deputy assistant secretary Dae Chung, was vacant as recently as Jan. 28, according to prior org charts.

Communications, resource management, acquisition and the Cincinnati-based Environmental Management Consolidated Business Center all fall under corporate services, according to the chart.

A federal online biography for Hendrickson indicates he joined the civil service after a 30-year career with the U.S. Navy, retiring in 2013 as a rear admiral. His Navy career also includes experience as a surface warfare officer and as a deputy director of the Missile Defense Agency.

As a federal manager, Hendrickson has served in posts such as deputy chief financial officer and chief data officer for DOE. Hendrickson was also associate administrator for management and budget at DOE’s semi-autonomous National Nuclear Security Administration.

In other organization news, EM’s Acting Assistant Secretary William (Ike) White noted in a Wednesday email obtained by Weapons Complex Monitor that John Jones will serve as the acting site liaison coordinator in the Office of Field Operations. While that has been previously reported by the Monitor, White also said Jones will continue to serve his current role as federal project director of the Energy Technology Engineering Center.

“John will proactively work with the EM HQ site liaisons and field offices to identify and resolve both internal and external barriers impacting timely or successful completion of the EM mission,” White said in the email.
