The Department of Energy will hold its Clean Energy Project Information Day for the Nevada National Security Site Feb. 13 in Las Vegas, the department said this week.
The session will be held at the National Atomic Testing Museum at 755 East Flamingo Road in Las Vegas, Nevada on Feb. 13, at a time to be determined, DOE said in an update to a request for information issued earlier this week.
The session will allow interested parties to learn more about this potential project for carbon-free solar energy projects at the Nevada National Security Site, DOE said.
Similar efforts are underway at the Hanford Site in Washington state, the Savannah River Site in South Carolina and the Idaho National Laboratory. It’s part of a Joe Biden administration initiative to get federal properties using the equivalent of 100% carbon-free power by 2030.
