Navarro hires business development director

Oak Ridge, Tenn.,-based Navarro Research & Engineering has hired Susanna Waters as director of business development, to work with environmental and nuclear customers at NASA, the Department of Defense and the Department of Energy.

Waters has more than a decade of relevant business development experience, Navarro President and CEO Susana Navarro said in a September press release.

Prior to joining Navarro, Waters spent five years in business development posts at GEM Technologies. She also worked as a proposal manager for North Wind Group. Waters holds a degree from Maryville College, in Tennessee and is trained in management, project management and proposal writing, Navarro said.

Founded in 1993, Navarro Research & Engineering now has roughly 500 employees across the nation and a significant footprint in the DOE weapons complex. 

The company has, either individually or as a team leader, contracts for management of the Hanford Site’s 222-S Laboratory in Washington state, Environmental Program Services at the Nevada National Security Site and Technical Assistance provider at the Carlsbad Field Office in New Mexico.
