Nano Nuclear sends ultimatum over critical media report

By ExchangeMonitor

Small reactor startup Nano Nuclear Energy anticipates litigation over a critical July report from the publishing arm of a New York-based investment firm, the company wrote in a letter last week to Hunterbrook Media.

In its letter, Nano Nuclear, New York, demanded that Hunterbrook Media, an affiliate of Hunterbrook Capital, take down an article and related social media posts related to a late July report that the reactor venture has disputed.

The letter was signed by Alex Spiro, a partner at Quinn Emanuel, who previously helped Elon Musk with his takeover of the website then called Twitter and now called X.

In the letter to Hunterbrook, Nano Nuclear said the July report amounted to defamation, defamation by implication, commercial disparagement, market manipulation, tortious interference, deceptive and unfair trade practices, and civil conspiracy.

Among the claims in the Hunterbrook article that Nano Nuclear disputes is the claim that the Nuclear Regulatory Commission was “not aware” of the company.

Nano also disputed Hunterbrook’s report that the reactor company holds no patents, writing in their letter that the company has filed provisional patents for its Zeus reactor and a piece of equipment known as an annular linear induction pump.
