Today is expected to be another cold, wintry one around the Department of Energy’s Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico with a high temperature of 26 degrees Fahrenheit, but with a wind chill factor below zero, according to the National Weather Service.
The laboratory suspended most on-site normal operations Wednesday due to snowy conditions, the Los Alamos Reporter newspaper reported.
Today will be mostly sunny with a wind chill factor making it feel like negative-four degrees, according to the National Weather Service forecast. There is a chance of flurries after 2 p.m. local time. Tonight’s low temperature could be around 8 degrees again with sub-zero wind chills. The daytime high is forecast to hit 38 degrees Friday before warming into the low 40s this weekend.
