Thom Mason, the directory of the Department of Energy’s Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico, is scheduled to answer questions about laboratory operations this evening.
Lab employees, family members and New Mexico residents are invited to ask questions of Mason between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. Mountain Time, Wednesday, April 3, according to a press release from Los Alamos National Laboratory. The release includes a Zoom link to the meeting.
The lab is run for DOE’s National Nuclear Security Administration by contractor Triad National Security. The laboratory is targeting production of 30 plutonium pits annually by 2028.
Mason and the head of the lab’s community partnership office, Kathy Keith, will provide a lab update and then field questions. Questions can be submitted [email protected].
