LOOKING AHEAD

Here’s a look at key events going on this week: 

  • ETEBA is holding its annual Business Opportunities Conference in Knoxville this week from Tuesday to Thursday. On the bill Wednesday are several speakers from the Department of Energy, including Tracy Mustin, principal deputy assistant secretary for EM, Mike Howard, director of EM’s Office of Procurement Planning and John Eschenberg, acting manager of DOE’s Oak Ridge Office. Scheduled to speak Thursday is Donald Cook, deputy administrator for defense programs at the National Nuclear Security Administration.
  • The American Nuclear Society is holding its winter meeting in Washington, D.C. this week.
  • US Ecology, Inc. will release its third quarter financial results Nov. 1 and hold an earnings call for investors at 10:00 a.m. ET to discuss the results.
  • Perma-Fix Environmental Services will release its third quarter financial results before market open Nov. 3, and will hold an investor earnings call that day at 11 a.m. ET.
  • The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality will hold two meetings with  radwaste generators Nov. 3 to discuss it’s draft Waste Acceptance Criteria for Waste Control Specialists’ Andrews, Texas disposal facility. TCEQ will meet with non-utility generators at 8:30 a.m., and utility generators at 10:30 a.m.
