Las Vegas-based Longenecker & Associates said in Tuesday it has hired a former Fluor supervisor as its manager for New Mexico projects.
Lindsay Wallace started Monday and her role will include serving as Longenecker’s program manager for legacy cleanup at the Los Alamos National Laboratory. Longenecker has a subcontract with Newport News Nuclear BWXT Los Alamos (N3B), the remediation contractor at the Energy Department site.
Based out of Los Alamos, Wallace’s responsibilities will also include supporting the management team at the Sandia National Laboratories in New Mexico. She will report to Longenecker Senior Vice President for Operations Christine Gelles.
An attorney, Wallace joined Fluor since 2017 as a capture manager for business development and then spent two two years as a deputy program manager supporting a major Homeland Security contract. Wallace previously worked four years as a government services consultant for Ohio-based CRC Technologies, an engineering and project management firm. From 2011 through 2013, she was a contracts manager for URS Federal Services, now part of AECOM.
Wallace replaces Katie Roberts, who has been promoted to director of regulatory assurance at Longenecker, a newly created position to lead the firm’s growing portfolio of support work.
“We are excited to have a project manager of Lindsay’s caliber and experience join our team in New Mexico,” the Longenecker CEO said in the release.
Longenecker is a frequently used subcontractor at sites managed by the Energy Department’s Office of Environmental Management and semiautonomous National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). At Los Alamos it supports both the N3B legacy cleanup contract and the Triad National Security operations and management contract.
The firm also has subcontracts at DOE’s Oak Ridge Site in Tennessee, the Savannah River Site in South Carolina, and other locations.
